This apprenticeship focuses on internal solid plastering and external rendering.
Apprentices develop skills in background preparation, float and set work, applying scratch and top coats, and repairing plaster surfaces.. We deliver apprenticeships through a blended hybrid model that combines structured training, flexible block weeks and guided site-based development-designed to build capability faster and support real business needs. This approach enables apprentices to apply new skills in real environments while progressing at an accelerated pace.

Delivery Model & Duration:

Fast-track hybrid delivery including day release, block weeks and integrated site-based training.

o Apply scratch, float and finishing coats
o Produce solid internal plaster finishes
o Apply external render systems
o Carry out repair and restoration work

Funding Option

Funding Eligibility

This Apprenticeship is available to employers looking to upskill their organisation. We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals. Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.

For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices over 21 there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund.
