This apprenticeship focuses on installing dry lining systems including partitions, MF ceilings, dot-and-dab, boarding and jointing. Apprentices learn installation sequencing and how to meet fire, acoustic and performance specifications.. We deliver apprenticeships through a blended hybrid model that combines structured training, flexible block weeks and guided site-based development-designed to build capability faster and support real business needs. This approach enables apprentices to apply new skills in real environments while progressing at an accelerated pace.

Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to:

o Fix plasterboard to metal stud, timber and direct bond backgrounds
o Install MF ceiling systems
o Prepare, joint and finish boarded surfaces
o Work to fire, acoustic and thermal performance standards
o Interpret drawings, details and manufacturer specifications
o Work safely on construction sites

Funding Eligibility

This Apprenticeship is available to employers looking to upskill their organisation. 
We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals. Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.
For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices over 21 there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund.
