This practical course supports employees in developing the confidence and numeracy required to carry out everyday tasks across warehousing, routing, fuel costing, and safe loading. The aim of this course is to empower employees working in the logistics sector with practical, job-specific mathematical skills that can be applied immediately in their current roles. The content is contextualised to the logistics environment, ensuring relevance and direct application to day-to-day tasks such as receiving goods, route planning, fuel costing, warehouse calculations, and safe vehicle loading. This 3-hour course has been designed to: • Strengthen core numeracy skills and boost confidence in using Maths at work. • Address real-world logistics challenges through practical calculations. • Equip learners with the ability to work more efficiently and make accurate, informed decisions. • Meet employer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements by upskilling staff in a short, focused format. • Support inclusive learning for employees of all backgrounds through clear explanations, interactive activities, and online delivery.

This course is part of our Skills Development Service. To be eligible for this training, you must be: • 19 years old or over • Employed, volunteering or an unpaid worker. • Have the right to live and work in the UK. • You must not already have achieved a level 2 qualification, in this subject, in the last 3 years. This support is available for those living in Greater Manchester or one of the neighbouring areas. These include parts of Lancashire, Derbyshire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, and Cheshire – your eligibility will be checked by one of our Skills Coaches.
