Skill Overview

The course is designed for customers with an interest in the Construction sector. They do not need prior experience to attend the course.

Will gain an insight into construction and health and safety. Gaining relevant qualifications required to obtain CSCS card.

After completion the learner will be booked into a Pearson test centre to complete their H&S online test, funded by the provider. After passing CSCS test, the customer will receive a CSCS card usually within 4 weeks funded by the provider.

Learning Objectives

Level 1 Award in Construction- H&S within a construction site, identifying hazards, risks, prevention and fire extinguishers. Understanding how construction sites operate in various sectors, understanding roles and responsibilities, sustainability within construction, reporting issues and recording information.

Level 1 Award in Customer Service- This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding in customer service for learners who deal, or intend to deal, with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role and is applicable to a variety of work environments. 

Mock CSCS test will be completed by the learners online daily so they are confident to sit and pass the CSCS test.

•	Must Live in Greater Manchester
•	Customer must be unemployed 
•	Must not have completed any of the learning aims previously- office will check when taking referral
•	Must be at least Entry Level 3 reading and Writing
•	Customer will need photo ID for the test or bring one passport size photo and 2 letters with current name and address- will discuss with learners at initial assessment
