Whenever we get together to do a deal, there is always the possibility that one party will end up feeling frustrated, resentful and demotivated. This 1 Day Course introduces basic techniques which will help you get the best out of any negotiation whether the discussions be formal or informal, internal or external. Through case studies, role play and structured discussions emphasis is placed upon how to separate people from problems, how to focus upon mutual interests and not positions and consequently how to identify and evaluate negotiating variables.

At the end of the course delegates will be able to: • Identify situations in which negotiating skills should be used • Examine how to prepare for a negotiation • Identify the communication skills required in a negotiation situation • Review how to conclude a negotiation • Plan, prepare and conduct a negotiation • Structure a personal development plan for implementation. Managers, supervisors and those required to negotiate either informally or formally in the course of their work.
