By the end of the session, learners will be able to: 

* Define AI and its basic business applications. 

*Identify where AI can improve efficiency in their workplace. 

*Experiment with 1-2 AI tools to solve a simple business challenge. 

*Reflect on opportunities and risks of using AI responsibly. 

Benefits to Employee - Understand the uses of AI within a business context, be able to apply these safely and responsibilities to support the needs of the business.

Benefits to the employer - Have staff members who can utilise these digital skills within a safe environment to support their business needs.

Delivery - Can be face to face or online learning, delivered by a tutor at employers premises or at a local delivery centre.

Learning Objectives

*Understand what AI is and how it applies to business
     - Introduction with slides and video on AI basics. 
     - Group discussion on current AI examples in business.              

*Explore AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Canva) for business tasks. 
     - Live demo and hands-on trial of AI tools (writing support, presentations, image generation). 
     - Pair work: Try tools for a business scenario (e.g., writing a customer email)

*Identify benefits and limitations of AI in business. 
     - Will AI replace jobs or enhance them?’ Discussion and group activities, debate.

*Apply AI to solve a business challenge
     - Mini-project: Groups choose a task (e.g., automate customer FAQs, create content plan) and use AI tools to address it. Present outcomes to peers

This course is part of our Skills Development Service.

To be eligible for this training, you must be:

•	19 years old or over 
•	Employed, volunteering or an unpaid worker.
•	Have the right to live and work in the UK. 
•	You must not already have achieved a level 2 qualification, in this subject, in the last 3 years.

This support is available for those living in Greater Manchester or one of the neighbouring areas. These include parts of Lancashire, Derbyshire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, and Cheshire – your eligibility will be checked by one of our Skills Coaches.
