The A62 Lift Supervisor Course prepares individuals to effectively supervise lifting operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
Learning Objectives

Understanding Lift Plans Interpret and implement lift plans created by the Appointed Person. Ensure operations align with detailed risk assessments and method statements. Supervising Lifting Operations Oversee and manage the execution of lifting activities on-site. Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of the lifting team. Risk Assessment and Hazard Control Identify potential hazards and take corrective measures to mitigate risks. Maintain site safety throughout the lifting operation. Equipment Safety Ensure lifting equipment and accessories are used correctly and safely. Verify compliance with inspection and maintenance protocols. Communication and Coordination Act as a key liaison between the lifting team, crane operators, and other site personnel. Use clear and standardised communication techniques, including hand signals and radio use.

CITB Health, safety and environment test SUPERVISORS LEVEL (SPEC SUP) passed no more than two years before the course start date, If you haven’t taken the test yet, there’s no need to worry—our centre is an approved CITB testing facility, and we’d be happy to assist you with booking your test to ensure everything is in place before the course begins. You should have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. Good understanding of spoken and written English.
