This apprenticeship (average duration of 20 months) will give participants the skills needed to ensure that work projects are developed and executed successfully.

Is this course right for you?
Our Associate project management programme provides apprentices with the tools, models and principles of structured project management to empower them in applying them to projects and project work in their workplace, enabling them to manage projects of differing scope, scale and complexity effectively. As part of this apprenticeship, apprentices will participate in practical learning to develop their knowledge and skills, and evidence their experiences as they go.

How will learning take place?
Learning for this apprenticeship is delivered through one-to-one coaching and mentoring sessions with a dedicated training officer, who will also provide regular feedback to the apprentice, alongside regular focused workshops, and webinars with a sector specialist, all completed online to provide ultimate flexibility and the
best experience possible. Apprentices can also expect a wealth of online learning resources and topics for independent research and continued study throughout the programme.

How is the course funded?
The course can be 95% funded by the government or paid in full, through the
apprenticeship levy. Additional financial incentives may also be available. It’s the employer’s responsibility to fund the course but Realise will support you to access funding.

Learning Objectives

Our apprenticeship goes further than just the apprenticeship standard. Apprentices will learn and apply crucial skills in project management, from governance and leadership, to project initiation, planning and monitoring. Our apprenticeship also offers the challenge of the Association for Project Management’s Project Management Qualification (PMQ) – an industry qualification that is sought after by many employers and those working within the project profession. Whilst the PMQ is not mandatory, it offers additional depth to our delivery.

This apprenticeship is available to employers and employees looking to upskill in their organisation. We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals.
 
Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.
 
You have a right to work in the UK
You have lived in the country for the last 3 years consecutively and have not left for a period of over 6 months within that timeframe.

For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices aged over 21, there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively, the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund.
