Skill Overview

Business administration is at the heart of almost every business in the public, private and third sector.

The course equips apprentices with a detailed understanding of the requirements needed to be an effective and efficient administrator in an office or business environment, working independently or within a team. This programme has 2 pathways for learners, depending on their level of experience.

Advanced Pathway 1: Designed to upskill employees who already have some experience in a business administration role and are looking to enhance existing skills and progress. This is built on a 12-month delivery model.

Entry-level Pathway 2: Designed for employees who have no prior business administration experience. This pathway is built on a 15-month delivery model.

How will learning take place?
You’ll learn and be taught by an experienced Trainer dedicated to you, supporting you every step of the way through the programme. Apprentices can expect a hands-on approach to their learning, applying the skills you’ve learned straight away. Enjoy regular workshop sessions with bespoke organisational content, interactive activities including access to an online resource library utilising AI technology and webinars to expand your knowledge and support independent learning.

The course can be 95% funded by the government or paid in full, through the
apprenticeship levy. Additional financial incentives may also be available. It’s the employer’s responsibility to fund the course but Realise will support you to access funding.

Learning Objectives

Apprentices will develop new skills that will underpin their future success and career development. Learning phases include effective communication, coaching and leadership skills and project management.

This apprenticeship is available to employers and employees looking to upskill in their organisation. We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals.
 
Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.
 
You have a right to work in the UK
You have lived in the country for the last 3 years consecutively and have not left for a period of over 6 months within that timeframe.

For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices aged over 21, there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively, the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund.
