The ITIL® 4 Foundation is the perfect entry-level qualification for those looking to enter IT Service Management. Regardless of your experience, the ITIL Foundation will enable you to view IT Service Management through an end-to-end operating model for the creation, delivery and continual improvement of technically enabled products and services. You will develop the knowledge and skills to align IT services with business objectives, deliver value to customers, and optimise costs and resources. The ITIL Foundation qualification takes just 16 hours of learning to complete and is a prerequisite for the ITIL 4 higher level qualifications. Upon completion, you will be eligible for job roles such as Service Manager, Service Desk Analyst, and Network Engineer.

The ITIL qualification will provide you with an understanding of the management of modern IT-enabled services. You will cover the following topics: The key concepts of service management The guiding principles and how an organisation can use them to adopt and adapt service management The four dimensions of service management The purpose and elements of the ITIL service value system The activities of the service value chain and how they relate to one another ITIL key terms and their definitions ITIL key practices and their purposes To gain the ITIL 4 Foundation, you will need to complete one 60-minute, 40-question multiple choice exam. The exam is closed book and the pass rate is 65%.
