The CIPD Level 5 is designed to expand your leadership and management skills, enabling you to become a learning and development specialist and drive change in your organisation. This CIPD Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development qualification is perfect for those currently in junior HR or L&M roles, or those with managerial experience in other sectors. Through this CIPD qualification, you will learn how to boost the confidence of your team and coordinate learning within your organisation. Topics you will cover include organisational performance, professional behaviours, and valuing people as well as how to use analytical tools to measure people practice. Upon completion of the CIPD Level 5, you will be well placed to move into roles such as L&D Manager, Organisational Development Business Partner, and Employee Experience Manager.

The CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development is composed of 3 core units, 3 specialist units and 2 optional units. Each module is assessed by a written assignment. Organisational performance and culture in practice (core unit) In this unit you will understand the connections between organisational structure and the wider commercial context. You will look at the trends that affect business strategy and workforce planning, including the influence of culture and employee wellbeing. Evidence-based practice (core unit) This unit covers the principles of critical thinking and evidence-based practice. You will learn about the key analytical tools that can be used to measure the impact of people practice as well as how different ethical perspectives can influence decision-making. Professional behaviours and valuing people (core unit) This unit emphasises the importance of ethical practice and inclusivity, and how such factors can build positive working relationships. You will also look at how developing new professional behaviours and practice can aid performance. Supporting self-directed and social learning (specialist unit) This unit looks at the growing popularity of self-directed learning with individuals wanting to learn in a way that fits with their own schedules. You will also understand how learning and development professionals can facilitate flexible learning approaches. Learning and development design to create value (specialist unit) This unit examines the interplay between the learning and development needs of employees and organisational objectives. You will learn how to create successful educational experiences that reinforce performance and productivity. Facilitate personalised and performance focused learning (specialist unit) This unit looks at facilitation techniques, whether online or in-person, and the principles that underpin successful learning experiences. You will learn how to plan an impactful intervention, and how to use pre-learning activities. Diversity and inclusion (optional unit) This unit covers the importance of managing and monitoring equality and diversity in the workplace. You will learn how to promote an inclusive workforce to drive a positive culture and improve organisational performance. Wellbeing at work (optional unit) This unit focuses on the significance of wellbeing in the workplace. You will look at the existing links between work, health, and wellbeing as well as organisational responsibilities regarding these matters.
