If you’re interested in gaining an understanding of and developing the skills that an early years practitioner needs to demonstrate to be considered qualified to support young children from birth to five years old, then this Level 2 Diploma in Early Years Practitioner course is ideal for you.

The Level 2 Diploma in Early Years Practitioner consists of the following mandatory nine units: • Safeguarding in a childcare setting • Understand child development • Communication with children • Supporting activities, purposeful play and educational programmes • Supporting children with special educational needs • Working with others in early years childcare • Understand the principles of wellbeing in children.

The majority of our courses are free for Manchester residents aged 19+. During your assessment and enrolment appointment, we will assess your eligibility. However, if you meet the requirements below, it’s likely that you’ll be eligible and will not have to pay any fees for your course. • Employed and earning less than £25,000 • Unemployed and in receipt of an income-based benefit • Studying for your first full Level 2 on an eligible legal entitlement course.
