This half-day course is designed to provide up to 16 participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to support mental health in various settings, including workplaces, schools, and communities. It covers the basics of mental health, recognising signs of distress, understanding how to offer appropriate support and resources, and effectively de-escalating situations where individuals may be in heightened emotional states. Participants will also explore the importance of self-care, reducing stigma, and fostering a supportive environment for mental well-being.

This course is ideal for managers, supervisors, and team leaders who want to foster a mentally healthy workplace, as well as for anyone interested in learning how to support mental health and effectively respond to individuals in need.

Learning Objectives

- Understand Mental Health Fundamentals: Gain a comprehensive understanding of what mental health is, including common mental health conditions and their impact on individuals.
