The CITB temporary works coordinator course is a two-day training that provides the knowledge needed for the role of temporary works coordinator.

You will gain a thorough understanding of good risk and safety management that you can apply on your worksite.

Learning Objectives

The content covered by this course includes:
Understanding the role of a Temporary Works Coordinator

Why they are needed, and the roles of others on site. As well as how to manage the temporary works process.

The code of best practice for temporary structures on building sites

BS5975 and how it is used with the role, and legislation and relevant codes of practice.

The importance of the “4Cs”

Communication, coordination, cooperation and competency.

The need for risk management

Risk assessments, and method statements.

Some self-study may be required outside of the course

Assessment

To complete the course, you will need to get 78% or above in the final exam. The trainer will encourage you to be interactive and involved throughout the training.
