Welcome to the Halo Staffing eLearning course for Standard 10 – Safeguarding Adults, of the Care Certificate. In this course we will be taking you through everything you’ll need to know to be able to effectively safeguard adults and help prevent abuse in your new job. We will start off covering the main principles of safeguarding adults, involving what harm is, what kinds of abuse exist, and what the signs of abuse are. From there we’ll move into how you can reduce the likelihood of abuse, what individualised care is and why it matters, and how to best manage and enable risk. After that, we’ll cover what you need to do when you suspect abuse is happening, from an ethical, professional, and legal standpoint. Finally, we’ll cover some of the relevant legislation, and let you know what you can do to help stop abuse from happening. www.halostaffing.co.uk
