Skill Overview

This course is for existing and aspiring leaders and middle managers.  It will enable you to better understand and develop your leadership and management competencies.  

Through this course you will:
•	develop your leadership and management competencies to improve your work performance;
•	benchmark your leadership and management competencies to understand where you need to improve;
•	accelerate your career progression and employability;
•	improve your confidence in your leadership competencies and decision-making;
•	expand your professional networks and gain access to industry best practices;
•	improve your organisation’s effectiveness and sustainability;
•	on successful completion of the assessment you will achieve CMI Level 5 Award in Management & Leadership and have the option to undertake the additional learning to achieve a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management & Leadership;
•	Begin your journey to becoming Chartered (CMgr);
•	if you choose not to undertake the assessment you will receive CMI Certificate of Completion.

•	face to face delivery in Central Manchester combined with online support and resources;
•	one-day, interactive, leadership development workshops with other regional leaders that draw on the latest approaches in leadership and management;
•	engagement with a market leading psychometric that is focused on your competencies;
•	two 1-2-1 Professional Development Conversations with an experienced coach to explore your competencies and development;
•	online learning and support with one of our tutors to complete your assessment; 
•	access to all CMI Management Learning Direct learning resources for 12 months alongside our specifically created course materials.

•	Reflect on own working style and its impact on others in the workplace as an essential 
management tool which supports the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours in the work place and develops your competencies.

•	Examine development opportunities to meet short, medium and long term objectives. 
•	Create a personal development plan for improved management effectiveness and career development with measurable objectives.
