This pathway produces data professionals who can transform raw data into actionable business intelligence. Apprentices develop strong analytical and problem solving skills; learning to collect, clean, interpret, and visualise data using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau. Apprentices can begin supporting your teams with predictive analytics, performance dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.
This pathway enables your organisation to unlock greater value from its data, build in-house analytics capability, and reduce reliance on external consultancy.

Learning Objectives

On the Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship (Data Analyst pathway), the learner will develop the knowledge and skills required to collect, analyse and interpret data to support organisational decision-making. This includes working with a range of data sources, preparing and cleaning datasets, and applying analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends and insights. The learner will gain experience using appropriate tools and technologies to manipulate and analyse data, while developing an understanding of data structures, databases and data governance to ensure data is handled accurately and responsibly.

The programme will also support the learner to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will develop skills in data visualisation and reporting, enabling them to present complex information in a clear and meaningful way that informs business decisions. Alongside technical capability, the learner will build an understanding of ethical data use, security and compliance, while working collaboratively within teams and continuously developing their analytical thinking and professional practice in line with industry standards.

This apprenticeship is available to employers and employees looking to upskill in their organisation. We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals.
 
Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.
 
For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices aged over 21, there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively, the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund. Submit an enquiry to find out more
