The Better Business Cases™ (BBC) Practitioner qualification will provide you with a practical understanding of how to construct a business case using the Five Case Model as a blueprint. Through the BBC Practitioner, you will cover the development lifecycle of a business case and the relationships between the Five Cases. The BBC framework is increasingly required as part of the investment approval process for those working in the UK public sector. In order to complete the Better Business Cases Practitioner, you must have completed the Foundation level. Upon completion, you will have the ability to report more effectively to decision-makers to get the best possible value for money.

The Better Business Cases Practitioner will cover a range of topics, including: Developing the Strategic Case – Learn how to analyse and distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate applications of the Five Case Model when reviewing the Strategic Case. Developing the Economic Case – Be able to apply and tailor the relevant aspects of an Economic Case to a scenario. Developing the Commercial Case – Identify appropriate actions and responsibilities when preparing and contracting a deal within the business case development framework. Developing the Financial Case – Identify what to include within a Financial Case, ascertaining affordability and funding requirements. Developing the Management Case – Plan how to ensure a successful delivery and identify appropriate information for inclusion in a Management Case.
