AutoCAD is one of the world's most popular CAD applications. Architects, engineers and other building design professionals use AutoCAD to design and annotate 2D geometry and 3D models with solids, surfaces and mesh objects. AutoCAD also lets you automate tasks such as comparing drawings, counting objects, adding blocks, creating schedules and provides a customised workspace where you can maximise productivity with add-on apps and APIs.

Our course teaches all the basic skills required to use AutoCAD for effective 2D drafting, including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details and plotting. The course assumes no prior knowledge of either AutoCAD or CAD generally, although it can also be taken as a refresher to either. The course combines instructor demonstration and explanation with the completion and review of relevant hands-on exercises by delegates. Appropriate time will be allowed to review the best practices for implementing AutoCAD as a replacement for manual drafting methods.
