GB Studio is a visual game engine that lets you create classic-style games using drag-and-drop tools. In this course, you’ll plan, design and build a small playable game from start to finish.

Who is this for?

Complete beginners aged 18 to 30. You don't need any coding experience, but you need to be confident using a computer, browsing the internet and saving files.

Learning Objectives

What to expect

By the end of the workshop, you’ll:

Understand the core components of game design (characters, levels, logic)
Use GB Studio to create dialogue, movement and interaction
ort and test your own playable game
This workshop runs from 10am to 3pm both days.

We'll also be providing light refreshments throughout the day; however, please bring your own lunch.

This event is free to attend. We charge a £5 booking fee, which is refunded on attending the event. Or, if you prefer, you can leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds will be processed within seven working days. If you cannot afford a ticket, please make an enquiry, and we will be in touch.
