This short course is aimed at enabling practising or aspiring managers to understand the business case for equality, diversity and inclusion, and the role of managers in creating inclusive cultures. It focuses on the skills required to lead by example and how to adapt leadership styles to support others to see the benefits of inclusive practice.

Learning Objectives

This is a single unit covering subjects relating to EDI with their own learning objectives within this syllabus link There are 9 subjects to choose from within the CMI Level 4 each with their own learning objectives. 

This qualification is designed for practising middle managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. It is aimed at enabling practising or aspiring managers to understand the business case for equality, diversity and inclusion and the role of managers in creating inclusive cultures.

The content of this qualification has been designed to reflect good practice, as outlined in CMI’s Delivering Diversity paper and CMI Women’s Broken Windows campaign.
