Skill Overview

This course is designed for all personnel responsible for the design of safe working practices and have overall responsibility and supervision of personnel entering into confined spaces. It covers the legislation surrounding confined space entry, techniques for recognising potentially hazardous situations and their remedies and good safety practices.  This course would suit managers, charge hands and supervisors who also manage confined space operations. Delegates will receive theoretical training in the safe entry and exit of Confined Spaces and a practical session including identifying the wide range of confined space safety equipment and its uses. On successful completion of this course all candidates will have received sufficient information and training which complies with HSE’s publication INDG258 and thus be deemed competent in Confined Spaces Awareness.
