Catheter Care training covers the anatomy of the urinary system and studies the reasons why catheterisation may be required. Delegates will look at the types of catheters, (urethral (male and female and supra-pubic) and the equipment that may be used by individuals who have a catheter. This course also includes external continence devices (sheaths), the indications for their use and the preparaton and care required when used. The risks associated with catheterisation will be discussed and how to manage these risks. The course also includes how to solve common problems and empty and change a catheter drainage bag. Course is for up to 12 employees, at your own setting
