Safety at work is the responsibility of employers and employees alike and acceptance of this responsibility is fundamental to ensure safe working practice. The new Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) came into force on 1 April 1990. The Regulations concern all employers, employees and suppliers who are responsible for the maintenance, servicing and installation of electrical equipment or services. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive.

- The Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) - Electrical accidents and injuries - Safe isolation installation and fittings - Legal implications of the 1989 Regulations - Interpretation of the 1989 Regulations - Safe Working Practice - The Requirements to test (Regulation Four - Electricity at Work Regulations 1989) - Identification of Appliances - Labelling and Documentation - The Tests - Records - Course review and evaluation You will complete a practical assessment and an examination. Once you have passed the assessment, you will be issued with an City & Guilds 2377-22 certificate.
