Skill Overview

At 360 Apprenticeships, we only work with level 1 and 2 Ofsted graded training providers, meaning that your learners are always in safe hands. Each IT Infrastructure Technician Apprentice will learn the techniques and skills needed for a full time career in the IT sector. As we work with more than one training provider, it gives you the opportunity to choose the one that best suites you and your business. Each course includes detailed and comprehensive training, delving into networking infrastructures, coding and language, web page development and much more. Our training providers reach across the whole of England; so no matter where you are, we will be able to find the right training provider for you.

Learning Objectives

Throughout the Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship, the learner will gain the experience and knowledge to apply hardware and software techniques. Over the course of the apprenticeship, students build an electronic portfolio of evidence that showcases their IT knowledge and skills. This will include hardware and software practices, data updates and networking, first line support for customers, disaster recovery and much more.  This will all lead to an end point assessment where the apprentice can demonstrate the techniques, ideas and processes they have learnt throughout the apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship is available to employers and employees looking to upskill in their organisation. We cannot support applications from unemployed individuals.

Sole traders or self-employed individuals cannot enrol themselves but may enrol a new employee.

For apprentices aged 16-21 the training costs are fully funded by the government. For apprentices aged over 21, there is a 5% co-investment which would be paid by the employer. Alternatively, the training costs can be covered by utilising the Apprenticeship Levy Fund. Submit an enquiry to find out more.

Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will require applicants with IT infrastructure knowledge. Some experience can be highly beneficial. Apprentices without level 2 Functional Skills (English and maths or GCSEs) will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.   Funding - any candidates who start the apprenticeship age 16-18 are full funded during the course. Employers will also receive 1000 to help with any training services. For any candidates 19+, there is a 5% contribution towards the training (paid to the training provider).
