This fun, beginner-friendly event is your chance to team up and put your new tech skills into action. You’ll work in small groups to create a project based on a theme — with guidance and encouragement from mentors.

This workshop is part of our Future Ready: Learn to Code programme of events.

Curious about working in tech but don’t know where to start? Future Ready: Learn to Code is a series of free, beginner-friendly workshops designed to help you explore different areas of digital work in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you're testing the waters or ready to dive in, there's something for everyone — from short taster sessions to more hands-on 2-day courses. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity.

Who is this for?

Adults aged 18 to 30 who have basic experience with Web Development, Python or Game Development. You don't need extensive coding experience, but you need to be confident using a computer, browsing the internet and saving files.

No experience? Try one of our Intro Courses first.

This workshop runs from 10am to 3pm both days.

We'll also be providing light refreshments throughout the day; however, please bring your own lunch.

This event is free to attend. We charge a £5 booking fee, which is refunded on attending the event. Or, if you prefer, you can leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds will be processed within seven working days. If you cannot afford a ticket, please make an enquiry and we will be in touch.
