Welcome to the Halo Staffing eLearning course on Health, Safety and Wellbeing. In this course we will teach you everything you’ll need to know to look after the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and the individuals you work with. We will begin with looking at why an organisation should care about health, safety, and wellbeing, and the commitments that they have. From there, we’ll move on to looking at the ways that you should act around safety and health that are in line with all of the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Following that, we’ll look at how you can find out how your organisation talks to their employees on any health and safety matters. The fourth section will be on how to find the policies that your organisation has put in place around health and safety. After that, we’ll look at what the terms hazard, risk, and risk assessment all mean. We will also look at some common workplace hazards. From there, we’ll move on to looking at how any risks that you have identified can be managed. What safe working practices are, and how to apply and promote them within your role, will be the next section covered. The ninth section will be on actions that you can take to ensure the safety of patients within your workplace. From there, we’ll move onto recognising the importance of reporting any concerns that you may have around health and safety. Following that will be the section on the reporting processes used to gather information. The second to last section will contain information on the appropriate methods to raise health and safety concerns. Finally, we’ll look at your responsibilities in reporting incidents, ill health, and near misses. www.halostaffing.co.uk
