Potential Areas of Work: Healthcare: Interpreting in hospitals, clinics, and other medical environments. Social Services: Assisting with communication between clients and social workers, particularly in cases involving non-native speakers. Law Enforcement: Interpreting for police officers, lawyers, or during legal proceedings. Education: Supporting students or families who need assistance in educational settings. Local Government and NGOs: Assisting in communication in public service contexts. Assessment Criteria: The qualification is typically assessed through a combination of: Written assessments (e.g., theoretical understanding of interpreting practices, cultural competence). Practical assignments (e.g., role-playing scenarios, real-life interpreting tasks). Observation (e.g., demonstrating interpreting skills in a controlled environment). The course generally emphasizes the development of professional interpreting skills, confidence in communication, and an understanding of the responsibilities involved in working as a community interpreter.

OR already have a level 3 qualification or higher but earn below £33,000. OR already have a level 3 qualification or higher but are unemployed
