This one-day, non-regulated course is designed for employed adults who have basic Excel skills and want to develop their skills and apply it to a workplace setting. Learners will build confidence in using more advanced formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, and introductory data analysis tools to handle workplace datasets efficiently and responsibly. Wider themes such as safeguarding, GDPR, accessibility, and data integrity are embedded to ensure compliance with professional standards. Flexible Delivery: Sessions can be adapted to suit employer needs in terms of content focus and delivery format (on-site, in-house, or online). Feedback from employers can shape the content and examples used to ensure maximum workplace relevance. This is a non-regulated course. Session Duration: 4 hours (1 day) Key Topics (dependant on employer needs): - Intermediate Functions – IF, COUNTIF, and CONCATENATE/TEXTJOIN for logical and text-based calculations. - Data Validation & Conditional Formatting – reducing errors, improving clarity, and visually highlighting key information. - Tables, Sorting & Filtering – structuring datasets for improved analysis and navigation. - Introduction to PivotTables – summarising and analysing larger datasets effectively. - Professional Presentation of Data – creating clear and accessible reports for workplace decision-making. - Safeguarding & GDPR – embedding responsible data handling practices. To be eligible for this training, you must be: • 19 years old or over • Employed, volunteering or an unpaid worker. • Have the right to live and work in the UK. • You must not already have achieved a level 2 qualification, in this subject, in the last 3 years. This support is available for those living in Greater Manchester or one of the neighbouring areas. These include parts of Lancashire, Derbyshire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, and Cheshire – your eligibility will be checked by one of our Skills Coaches
