Welcome to the Halo Staffing course about understanding sensory loss. We begin this course with a general awareness of deafblind, deaf, hard of hearing people and communities. This will be followed by a brief description of all the legislations relevant to sensory loss in the UK. We will then move on identifying the barriers that these people face. The next topic will explain how deafblind, deaf and hard of hearing people communicate. We will then inform you how to implement positive methods of communication for those who are deafblind, deaf or hard of hearing. Positive methods of supporting these individuals will be the final topic of this course. www.halostaffing.co.uk
