Skill Overview

Any employee or even contractor that will be using a forward tipping dumper on-site needs to be trained in the safe and efficient use of the machinery. As such, all regular employees, as well as managers and supervisors, that will be expect to use the dumper should take one of the courses we offer.

Alternatively, if you are looking to get into contracting, or want to show potential employers that you have the skills they require, you can undertake the training yourself.

Learning Objectives

The objective of dumper training is to ensure that operators are capable of safely and efficiently using this type of wheeled dumper machinery. The objective is to receive certification from the awarding body to show that an individual has the appropriate level of skills

Training will teach delegates to conduct pre-use checks
Learn to start and operate the machinery safely, safely manoeuvre and use the machinery,
Basic operation of the machine
How to safely prepare it for use on the public highway
Site the machine safely and efficiently
Identify and conduct relevant maintenance practices
Ready the dumper for use on the public highway
Initiate relevant safety precautions for use
Basic understanding of how components like the diesel engine work

Our training courses have theory and practical elements, so it is important that all delegates have good written and verbal English skills.

All students are also required to have successfully passed the touch screen Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives course within the past two years.
