Digital Skills – Construction Occupational Work Supervisors This course is designed to equip current and aspiring construction site supervisors with the essential digital skills needed to lead effectively in today’s technology-driven industry. Delivered through a dynamic blend of classroom, remote, and workplace-based learning, it develops learners’ ability to plan, communicate, and manage information using modern digital tools. Participants will gain practical experience in areas such as digital recordkeeping, online communication, scheduling, and data security, all within the context of real supervisory responsibilities. By embedding genuine site-based tasks and regulated digital learning, the course enhances both confidence and competence in digitally enabled supervision. Successful completion provides a strong foundation for progression into further vocational qualifications, such as the Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision which are embedded in the course content. This course develops the digital competence needed for effective site supervision. Learners will: •Use digital systems for planning, communication, and documentation •Complete and manage digital records such as site diaries, inspection forms, and task schedules •Apply data protection principles and maintain secure digital practices on mobile devices and platforms •Identify and reduce security risks to devices and data through safe password management and regular updates •Protect data from online threats, including malware and loss, through secure backups and monitoring •Store, share, and back up information effectively using cloud-based tools and shared drives •Plan and use digital tools to complete supervisory tasks efficiently •Review and improve digital practices to enhance site productivity and communication •All digital skills are taught through realistic, site-based scenarios and assessed against NOCN regulated unit outcomes.

This course is part of our Skills Development Service. To be eligible for this training, you must be: •19 years old or over •Employed, volunteering or an unpaid worker. •Have the right to live and work in the UK. •You must not already have achieved a level 2 qualification, in this subject, in the last 3 years. This support is available for those living in Greater Manchester or one of the neighbouring areas. These include parts of Lancashire, Derbyshire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, and Cheshire – your eligibility will be checked by one of our Skills Coaches.
