How Ginger Nut Deliver Our training delivery is based on a blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, with group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course. The course teaches learners to create and deliver marketing plans with a focus on creativity, understanding and excellent project management. To support their study, all learners are given access to LinkedIn Learning, including bespoke channels designed to support their apprenticeship and Perlego, which includes full searchable access to hundreds of thousands of textbooks to support study. The initial focus of the course is around the knowledge areas that will be needed to complete the Knowledge Test at End Point Assessment. Once these have been completed the learner will take a mock test to ensure that they understand these core areas and then focus moves more onto the skills and behaviours related to successful campaign planning, delivery and evaluation. In months 1-9, the areas covered will be: The fundamentals of marketing theory that support the marketing process including the extended marketing mix, 7P’S: product, price, place, promotion, physical environment, process, people, product development, and segmentation The concepts of brand positioning and management and implementing process to support corporate reputation The principles of stakeholder management and customer relationship management How marketing contributes to achieving wider business objectives Customer relationship management system presentations. The target audience’s decision-making process and how that can influence marketing activities The sector specific legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks within which they must work, including current data protection regulations The principles of effective market research and how this can influence marketing activity e.g. valid data collection sources and methodologies and usage, including digital sources and when to use quantitative and qualitative methods Basic principles of product development and product/service portfolios. The marketing landscape and how routes to market interplay most efficiently, e.g. franchise model, distribution The features and benefits of different marketing communications channels and media (both digital and offline) and when and how to apply these Once this has been completed the focus moves towards putting the skills and behaviours into practice through mini projects. These include: Planning and delivering tactical campaigns Communications – project briefs, presentations and stakeholder management and communication Using data and technology to support delivery and deliver outcomes Project Activity and Portfolio Building Evidence collected will cover knowledge, skills and behaviours and helps the learner build the experience and portfolios they need to successfully complete their apprenticeship. The learner will also need to develop and submit a project plan for their project showcase to the End Point Assessment Organisation at gateway. Gateway and End Point Assessment We give the learners mock knowledge tests and End Point Assessment interviews to ensure they are ready for the End Point Assessment and know precisely what to expect at all points in the process. The End Point Assessment itself includes: Knowledge Test – multiple choice Project Showcase – including report, presentation and question and answer session Professional Discussion – covering four questions around their competency and experience, and four around scenarios.
