Can a good manager become a great leader?  In this course we will look at Leadership and Management in depth, examine the characteristics of a good manager and the traits of great leadership and how these skills can be applied by todays procurement professionals.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, every participant will be able to:

* Appreciate the differences between leadership and management

* Have an appreciation of leadership styles and be able to use them to manage different circumstances effectively  

* Be able to recognise and utilise ‘trait theory’ to improve their leadership skills 

* Be able to influence stakeholders effectively in all circumstances

* To be able to motivate colleagues and stakeholders effectively

* To understand conflict theory and to use it to manage conflict situations effectively.
