Skill Overview

This course will provide you and/or your team with an understanding of managing performance and outline the benefits of conducting regular supervisions including how to conduct performance conversations. The learners will also learn about supervision templates and how to coach staff through supervision conversations. Preparation, documentation, and conflict resolution will also be discussed including tips for giving feedback.

The learners will also understand how to encourage Two-Way Communication, describe what is positive reinforcement and how to use it, understand the importance of personal and professional development including a discussion about wellbeing and emotional support.

Aim: To enable managers and leaders to hold open and supported conversations and be able to provide effective supervision.
