This QNUK accredited course is designed to take the First Aider on to the next skill level, students will be taught the skills associated with rapid assessment, stabilisation and transfer of both the trauma victim and those suffering a medical emergency. It is aimed at those working in high risk and hostile environments – it is ideal for remote medics, Close Protection Operators and Ships’ Anti-Piracy Teams. Our FPOSI is fully recognised by the Security Industry Authority. The course is run over 4 days. We run the recognised First Person On Scene courses in Manchester, Stockport, Birmingham, Yorkshire, Liverpool and London. Our First Person on Scene Intermediate course is run and delivered using practical and discussion sessions, our approach is proven to be effective with a solid learning base. There are no prerequisites for this course - ideally experience in First aid at work an advantage but not essential. This course can be completed at your place of work or at one of our open public courses at our training centre in Bury.

• First Aid Priorities • Managing Incidents • Basic Life Support + AED training • Examination of a casualty • Spinal including Log roll • Control of bleeding • Burns & Scalds • Trauma Injuries • Regulations • First Aid kits • Recording & Reporting Successful students will be receive a certificate valid for 3 years upon completion of the course, once deemed as competent, there is no final examination as continual assessment is gauged throughout the course. Successful students are encouraged to attend a half day annual training session due to any changes to BLS applied by UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015.
