Skill Overview

Aim: To provide delegates with an awareness and understanding of the legal requirements of COSHH and PPE. By the end of the course candidates will be able to: Demonstrate awareness and understanding of COSHH and PPE the legal requirements under the regulations and responsibilities of both employers and employees to control risks.

- Hazard identification and workplace exposure limits  
- Labelling international symbols activity tutor to assess outcomes  
- COSHH assessment / Safety data sheets  
- Control measures, LEV, tube detectors and sampling  
- PPE legislation. Employers and employee duties under the regulations  
- Selection and use of PPE  
- Hazards and types of PPE  
- Training and maintenance of PPE   

Upon completion, delegates will be awarded with an Alliance Learning certificate.
