Welcome to the Halo Staffing eLearning course on Cyber and Data security. In this course, we will guide you on how to handle technology and information in a lawful and secure way and help you to understand why it is relevant in your role.

Firstly, we will try and explain the relationship between data, information and cyber. We will then explore the importance of security in the social care sector and identify 3 areas of data security.

The next section will inform you about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and the 5 key underlying principles of the regulation.

After that, we will cover the cyber security landscape and identify the 4 major threats that you may encounter.

Next, we will learn more about each of those threats and understand how to mitigate the risks they pose.

The course will conclude with a list of 5 responsibilities in handling technology and information securely.
