New T-Levels

Discover your future workforce

T Levels are high quality, two year qualifications for 16-19 year olds which combine classroom learning with real-world industry experience.

Students spend the equivalent of 45 days with a Greater Manchester employer during their two-year qualification.

T Level placements provide employers with a number of benefits including:

If you would like to offer a work placement of 315 hours (approximately 45 days), here are a few things to consider:

  • Planning for your work placement - like taking on any new member of staff, you need a plan in place of what they will be doing on a daily basis
  • Student Readiness - do you want to interview the right students for your organisation?
  • Health and Safety - have you got public and employers liability insurance in place?
  • Cost - even though you are not expected to pay the student on placement, be aware of the hidden costs; such as Time, Training, Equipment, and Insurance you will need in place to take on an industry placement. You can claim back some of these costs through the employer support fund, which is managed by the training provider.
